OMG I cannot believe this video. Why have I been running out to classes when I can stay home and have the very best right in my living room? Here I am, choreographically challenged and dizzingly dyslexic - the proverbial class klutz. So I put on the DVD last night, just to check it out. An hour and a half later I only turned it off because I had much to do to get ready for a show today.

So, get this, at the end of my show today Robin says - I think I saw some of Shamira's material in your show!!! Do you know what that means? That means I actually learned something, and I didn't even know it, and, AND I was able to use it, (and I wasn't even trying.) Like, yes, I can learn, but learn it and use it?

Your technique of showing from the front, and then from the back (the only way I can follow!!) and then having us mirror you is absolutely phenomenal. And I'm so excited that you break down moves that I've always wanted to do but could just never figure out - the dramatic accent type stuff!

Thank you, thank you, thank you. Of course it helps that you're a totally magical dancer, with a magical personality to match and now I want to kill myself because of all the years I lived in NY and didn't make it to your classes!!! What was I thinking? Who hasn't watched you dance and been completely mesmerized? Thank you for coming in to our living rooms.

"Smokin' Hot Bellydance" is a blast! I was smiling while watching the final dances of your video. Deep in my soul, I reflected on how lucky you are to express exactly what every woman desires to do. We need to dance the dance of woman. You are beautiful! Through time and lots of practice, I will do your new dance. I can do "Zeina" though not as beautiful as you. I don't think the dance looks kewl in baggy tee-shirts and tights. LOLOL! I found a belt on e-Bay. The belt is waiting for me to dance like no one is looking. The belt, along with the dance is part of opening up, I think.

Since I can do "Zeina," the first nine basic patterns will be fun to do. No, I will not go beyond the first nine until I master the slower beat. I love your message inside the DVD! :)

The DVD came today, thank you for sending it so quickly. I've had a quick peek at parts of it, the quality is excellent and I really like the way that you've decorated your studio. I love the "Maqam" dance so that's going to be my next project, although I doubt if the high kicks will figure in my version!! You've surpassed yourself with this one Shamira, I can't wait to get started.
