Shamira's Tips - Shoulder Shimmies: Tighten Your Bra
Q: I've been bellydancing for a couple of years now, and I ust don't know if I'm doing my shoulder shimmies right. I'm very voluptuous and I can't help my boobs from shimmying along with my shoulders...is this normal or am I doing something wrong?
Thank you, greetings from Chile! - Camila
A: You are not doing anything wrong. Your shoulders are connected to your chest and your chest is home to the boobs! Here is what I suggest you do if you want to minimize the boob shimmies: Tighten up the bra. There are several things you can do. First, I would only use a halter bra, where the straps come together behind your neck nice and tight. That will help lift and push together. Next, put a little padding inside the bra cups. That may seem counterproductive, as it will give you more, not less cleavage, but then what you have to do is add some strips of fabric to the top of the bra cups to cover up some of that cleavage. Also add a strip of fabric between the cups, going straight across. You'll still have plenty of voluptuous cleavage to show off, but it will be much tighter - less loose skin to jiggle. I hope that helps, let me know.
Greetings to you in Chile!
